The Prague Blog

A view of beautiful Prague!
I went to Prague with three other students from my study group - Lindsey (one of my roommates), Leonard, and AK - over the weekend of October 21st. I'll spare the details of my flight for the travel-wary, but after a bumpy ride in and a surprise stop in Verona, Italy, (of Romeo and Juliet) we finally made it safely to Prague to enjoy the stunning city for the weekend. For now this post is just going to be pictures with captions because I don't have time to go into too much detail, but I wanted to at least share some of the sights!

Žižkov Television Tower

I loved the architecture here! It felt like being on a movie set, or maybe disney world... very different from Spain!

We ran into some kind of festival with lots of food and little crafts from the area.

Many religious statues lined the bridge

St. Vitus Cathedral

Everything was so intricately detailed...

Not as severe as the guards of Buckingham Palace... these guys could move their eyes!

Changing of the guards

The view from a little café we stopped at to warm up after walking around the Prague Castle... the hills and colors reminded me of Colgate!

All of the restaurants and cafés had heaters and blankets outside... a great way to unwind after walking around all afternoon

The cathedral lit up as the sun set after our stop at the café... absolutely stunning!

  1. Hey Linds! When I lived in the Netherlands, I spent a lot of time in Prague. I love that city! Looks like you really got around and saw many of the beautiful architectural landmarks. Thank you for posting these pictures. Love you!
